I was stunted today to see a custom built bike on Bangalore roads which could easily give run for your money. It was nicely designed and executed. 24 inch tyres, twin cylinder engine, disc brakes, custom paint job, awesome handles, and nicely done gas tank. In short, I loved it. You can see it for yourself below.

I did not know, installing a HP printer on windows 7 will become such pain. Anyway for the benefit of others, here is how you resolve the problem on installing HP LaserJet P1008 on Windows when the win 7 tells you to troubleshoot but comes out empty with no drivers found.
Follow the steps below and you will have successfully installed the printer on windows 7.

Pre-requisite:

Download the HP LaserJet P1008 drivers from ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL21048/bi-55240-6/ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win32-en.exe

Installation steps:

1. Connect the USB cable from the printer to the PC.

2. Power on the printer.

3. Ensure you see an troubleshooting mark on the windows “Device and printer window” (you may skip this step, if you feel it’s confusing).

4. Double click and install the driver from the downloaded file (ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win32-en) from our pre-requisite section.

5. Follow the instruction on screen.

Voila!! you have a working setup of the printer from windows 7.

Create. Print. Enjoy.

As you might have seen, in “What’s keeping me Busy?”  section that I had mentioned – interior designing my apartment. Well, my home is all coming together and I am very impressed with it. Of course it had its own trouble, arguments with carpenters, etc. But here I am!

I will post series of pictures of my Home in going days, weeks or months. I want to start with Main door – the entrance to my cool home. And yes I am happy with the outcome and I want your feedback.

1. Downlaod ios 4.1 from – http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/061-7932.20100908.3fgt5/iPhone1,2_4.1_8B117_Restore.ipsw
2. Download Redsn0w 0.9.5 from – http://sites.google.com/a/iphone-dev.com/files/home/redsn0w_win_0.9.6b1.zip?attredirects=0&d=1
3. Upgrade your iTunes to the latest version at least 10.0.1
4. Update iPhone 3G to iOS 4.1
5. Start Redsn0w 0.9.5 Beta and click on browse and select firmware iOS 4.1 ipsw for iPhone 3G which was downloaded in step one
6. Click on Next and Redsn0w 0.9.5 Beta will prepare data for jailbreak
7. Now select “Install Cydia” and click Next. If you want to enable/disable multitasking & wallpaper then simple check/uncheck “Enable multitasking and wallpaper” option.
8. You need to connect your iphone to computer and power off your iPhone 3G and click on next button
9. At this stage you will need to put your iPhone in DFU mode, to do this hold “Power” button and then hold “Home” button for about 10 seconds. Now after few seconds release “Power” button but keep holding “Home” button until installation begins(about 30 seconds)
10. Now just wait until redsn0w completes the rest of the process. Once done, your iPhone 3G will restart automatically.

Enjoy your jailbroken iPhone 3G with 4.1 iOS.

Please Note: There is no unlock tool available which can unlock iOS 4.1, you must wait if you are planning to unlock.

I of many people in this world like to sleep in late. What better way to start a day with warm blanket and a undisturbed sleep. Pure bliss!!!

But that’s not what I want… I wish to be up early, so that I can jog/swim/play some squash and reach office in time. So that, I can leave office early (did you just LoL’ed). Well, who am I kidding leaving office early is a myth. We shall dwell on it later.

Coming back to the point. I tumbled upon this gadget – “Sonic Alert” which reminded me of big speakers, sonic loud sounds to blow you off. I guess this is the only way I would be out of bed with the side effect that all my neighbours all would out of their beds too. J
